Now normally, I hate February - cold, dark, no money, nobody out - but this year was different as I was away on an extended work trip. Started off in Japan with Frank and Stuart where we attended Whisky Live! Tokyo then I left Frank and Stuart in the Northern Hemisphere and headed south with a quick stopover in Sydney then on to New Zealand for Dramfest in Christchurch, New Zealand's first whisky festival (and very good it was too). Then headed on to Blenheim and Wellington to do some tastings. Photos to follow. In between working very hard (Neil) I did manage to see a bit of the country too which was great as it was my first visit. For those of you that don't know me, I am a total sunworshiper so the chance to escape the cold and rain of a Scottish February was too good to miss. Reality hit with a bang though when I got back to Glasgow on Monday and had to drive back home to Campbeltown - 3 hours in the chucking rain and howling wind stuck behind very slow moving lorries most of the way. Not good. Just to illustrate my point;
