I was in Campbelltown last week, so a friend and I booked the Gold Tour. First we were led by Jim on a tour of Springbank and then Glengyle. Malting was in process at Springbank at the time. It's amazing how Jim can stay on track with the tour what with all the questions being thrown at him. After wrapping up at Glengyle, Jim delivered us to Ranald at the Tasting Room for the tasting portion of the tour. Ranald proved a most excellent host, pouring us a number of drams and discussing them with us and fielding our questions.
Even if you have toured Springbank in the past, I recommend the Gold Tour. It's well worth the cost.
Thanks to all at Springbank for a great time! |

I was yesterday at Springbank to visit Springbank, Glengyle and for the tasting too.
As usual great visit of Springbank but it was the first time that I went to Glengyle. Very interesting as the whole process is on the same floor under the same roof. Unfortunatly, as they only run 10 weeks a year, it was not working, but still very interesting and also we can see the stills from Ben Wyvis distillery. Thank you very much to Jim for this.
The tasting was also very very good with Ranald. Very nice tasting room. A nice end of tour.
Definitly great. I will be back next year...
Merci
