When looking at the last bottle of Hazelburn from Cadehenead, a statement was written on the label, mentioning that Cadenhead was not associated to Springbank.
Could you please explain me what is the status of Springbank Distillery, Glengyle Distillery and Cadenhead? They are all owned by the same company, but run independently or ?
Thank you in advance for your explanations.
Regards

Springbank and Glengyle distilleries, as well as Cadenhead's, are all owned by Mr Hedley Wright under the umbrella of J&A Mitchell and Co.
The distilleries and Cadenhead's are run independently of one another as separate companies.
The Cadenhead's Hazelburn label is a version of the standard Cadenhead's label and as such contains the general statement that the company is not connected to the distillery where the whisky was produced, which is of course 100% correct in all cases other than Springbank and Glengyle. |
